At Whitefield Methodist Church, we believe that every person is precious to God and should be treated with dignity, respect and care.

Creating a safe and welcoming environment is an important part of who we are. We are committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk, and to making sure that everyone who comes through our doors feels valued, included and supported.

Safeguarding is not just about following policies and procedures—it is about building a culture where people look out for one another, listen well, and act with kindness and compassion. We want our church to be a place where people can grow in faith, build friendships and participate fully, knowing that their wellbeing matters.

All our children’s, youth and community activities are run with care and responsibility. Our volunteers and leaders follow Methodist safeguarding guidance, complete appropriate checks and training, and are supported to create safe spaces where people can flourish.

We are committed to:
