Funerals
At Whitefield Methodist Church, we understand that saying goodbye to someone we love is a deeply personal and important time. Our Minister is available to lead funeral and memorial services, offering care, support and a service that reflects the life, faith and memories of your loved one.
Christians believe that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ give them hope and cause for thanksgiving in the face of death. In this faith we entrust those who have died to the infinite mercy and love of God. A funeral service acknowledges this hope and offers the bereaved the opportunity to remember and celebrate their loved one's life and offer them into God's care.
Services can take place in the church, or at a local crematorium or burial ground, and we will work with you and your funeral director to create a meaningful and fitting time of remembrance, thanksgiving and hope.
If you are arranging a funeral or would simply like to talk things through, please do get in touch — we are here to offer a listening ear and support you through this difficult time.
