Sunday Services
What Are Sunday Services Like?
Our services are a time when we come together as a church family to praise God, with a blend of much-loved traditional hymns and more contemporary worship songs. We spend time praying together, reading and exploring the Bible, sharing news from the life of our church community, and hearing a message that helps us discover more about who God is and how we can live out our faith each day.
When you arrive, simply find a seat wherever you feel comfortable — don’t worry, there are no “special seats”, and everyone is welcome!
All the words for our songs, hymns, prayers and responses are projected onto a large screen, so there is no need to worry about finding your way through a hymn book or service sheet.
After every service, we enjoy spending time together over refreshments. We believe that church is not just about what happens during worship, but also about building friendships, sharing life together and growing as a community.
We celebrate Holy Communion once a month, and we also have ‘Sunday Breakfast Live’ — a relaxed, cafe-style family service — once a month, where everyone is encouraged to take part.
Baptism/Christening and Dedication/Thanksgiving services can also be arranged with the Minister and take place during our Sunday morning worship, as we celebrate these special moments together as a church family.
What Time Does The Service Start?
Our Sunday services usually start at 10:30 am and are generally 1hr – 1hr 15 mins long, with refreshments served afterwards.
Are Children welcome in services?
They certainly are! We love having children and young people as part of our church family and believe that everyone, whatever their age, has a place in worship.
At the start of our Sunday morning service, we worship together as one church family for the first 10–15 minutes. The children and young people then head out to Sunday Club, where they enjoy their own age-appropriate activities with our DBS-checked leaders in a safe, friendly and welcoming environment.
During Sunday Club, children explore Bible stories together, discovering what they mean and how they connect with everyday life. Through stories, discussion, crafts, colouring, games and lots of fun, we encourage children to ask questions, grow in faith and enjoy spending time together.
We have baby-changing facilities in the accessible toilet, and there is a ramp into the side vestibule of the building and the Oasis Centre with your buggy or pram.
We know that bringing children to church for the first time can feel daunting, but please be assured that they will receive a warm welcome — and so will you!
