Oasis Children’s Parties
Looking for a children’s party venue? Look no further!
We offer a venue for self-catered children's parties for up to 30 children. For a three-hour slot, you get exclusive use of the Oasis Centre, full use of the soft play frame, and free jugs of squash for the children.
Teas and filter coffee are available for purchase and served by our staff for a small charge. However, please note that the kitchen facilities (e.g., ovens) are not available for your use.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What party time slots are available?
We have two slots on Saturdays, 12-3 pm and 3-6 pm, and one on Sundays from 2-5 pm. Weekday afternoon slots are possible by arrangement.
2. Can I run my own party games, crafts or bring in my own entertainer?
Yes, of course, to all the above. You can also plug your phone or iPod into our sound system to play music. You are welcome to bring your own crafting materials, but absolutely NO GLITTER!
But let us know on the booking form what you are planning.
3. Can I bring my own bouncy castle?
Sadly, the answer has to be no because of space limitations and safety issues.
4. Can I use the ovens to bake my own food, such as sausage rolls?
Unfortunately, the answer to this one is no. Teas & filter coffee will be available to buy for a small charge for adult guests served by our staff, but the kitchen facilities (e.g. ovens) will not be available for your use.
5. How many children can I invite?
The maximum number of children is 30, and their ages need to be between 0 and 8 years.
6. Do parents of party guests have to stay?
You must arrange for one adult to supervise per four children to stay on the premises in a supervisory role.
7. What about decorating the place with our themed decorations or balloons?
Balloons - You are welcome to bring your own balloons to the party, but if being used as decoration (rather than floating on the floor), they can only be stuck to painted wood surfaces, but definitely not the walls, as the paint comes off with the Sellotape or Blu-Tack.
Plates: Please bring your own paper plates (themed/plain) for serving food.
8. What does Oasis provide?
Large Cake Knife - for cutting a birthday cake;
Children’s Ikea Plastic Tumblers and ‘sippy’ cups
Medium-sized Ikea Mugs - for hot drinks, i.e. teas (£1), filter coffee (£1), and hot chocolate (£1.20), will be served by our staff. The drinks must be kept at the back of the coffee tables or on the shelves for everyone’s safety.
Paying For Guests’ Drinks: Sometimes, folks want to pay for their guests’ drinks, so our party staff can keep a tally of drinks served, and then you can settle up at the end of the party by card with our on-site SumUp machine.
CHILDREN’S PLAY AREA DISCLAIMER
We are pleased to provide this community facility. While we have attempted to make our RoSPA-accredited soft play frame as safe as possible, the very nature of children’s play activities means that accidents can occasionally happen.
Therefore, adult supervision is essential, as our staff will not supervise the soft play frame. We cannot, therefore, accept any responsibility for injury or damage to children or clothing whilst using the play area.
RULES OF PLAY
We thank you for your help in these important safety measures.
Make sure children who wear glasses or contact lenses take particular care.
Remove shoes before entering the play frame, and SOCKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES.
To reduce the possible risk of friction burns, arms & legs should be covered.
Any injuries or incidents need to be logged and signed in the first aid book in the kitchen.
STRICTLY NO FOOD, TOYS, DRINK OR CHEWING GUM ON THE PLAY FRAME.
Strictly no glassware on the play frame.
Remove all jewellery, badges & all other sharp objects.
Strictly no smoking or consuming of alcohol.
Children who are unwell MUST NOT use the play frame.
STRICTLY no use of GLITTER by yourselves and/or your entertainer
All personal items including money should be left with parents/guardians/carers.
No liability will be accepted for any damage, theft or loss.

Adult supervision is essential as the soft play frame and activities will not be supervised by our staff, and we cannot therefore accept any responsibility for injury or damage to children or clothing whilst using the Oasis Soft Play.
The two staff are there to staff the kitchen and drinks, put out the toys (if booked) and advise on procedures.
Any safeguarding incidents need to be reported to the staff on duty at your party as soon as possible and referred to the Whitefield Methodist Church Safeguarding Policy on the Safeguarding Notice board.
How Do I Book And Pay For a Party?
1. Payment by Debit/Credit Card via SumUp secure online payment links is our preferred payment option. But cash payments are still acceptable.
2. Booking & Deposit
All bookings must be made using the online Booking Form below or using the booking form that was emailed to you.
Make sure your date/slot is available, then complete the attached Booking Form.
Please be aware that the booking is not secure until we receive the £25 deposit. We require a £25 deposit, usually by debit or credit card, to secure the booking. Your booking is not confirmed until you have submitted a completed booking form and paid your deposit.
You will then receive the online SumUp Link to pay your £25 deposit. A selection of Oasis Toys can be booked for an extra £20. If booked, this will be charged as part of the booking fee and must be paid two weeks before the party.
3. Party Fee - £120 or £145 if you’ve ordered extra toys
Two weeks before the party, you will receive an email for the full party fee to be paid by card via another SumUp online link.
4. Deposit Return - £25
The deposit will be refunded the next working day after the party, onto the card you originally paid with, but this is dependent on the premises being adequately tidied and swept within the agreed time slot. Unfortunately, we’ve occasionally had people overrun and not leave the venue adequately clean/ready for the next party/group coming in.
5. Cancellation Fees
If you need to cancel your party and we can rehire your slot, we can refund the full party fee and your deposit.
If we cannot rehire your slot as it is too close to the date, our policy is to refund your full party fee (minus the SumUp transaction charge, which is currently 2%), but you would forgo the deposit, which is £25.
